As your primary eye care providers, we would like to update everyone on recent changes and new guidelines made by the CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention) and WHO (World Health Organization) in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. These are also in line with changes made by the VA Hospital system (Dr. Ben works at the Zablocki VA in Milwaukee once a week). As responsible healthcare providers and members of our community, our office will be taking the proper precautions in order to help minimize the potential spread of COVID-19.
If you are feeling sick or have symptoms of a fever, cough or shortness of breath, call your primary care physician for instructions on being examined and possibly tested for COVID-19, and postpone any non-urgent exam with our office until you hear back from your primary doctor with their recommendation.
Upon entering and leaving our office, wash or sanitize your hands
No hand shaking! We love seeing our patients and greeting you when you come in, but we have to refrain from and minimize physical contact
We will be sanitizing all surfaces of our office and frames multiple times daily, and washing our hands frequently throughout the day
We are making these changes based on the facts of how this virus spreads and how it will likely continue to spread throughout the United States for a certain period of time, and the potential danger it poses to our local population, especially the elderly and sick. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our office!
